I’m Jessica Quinn, and I’ve developed a genuine love for jumping spiders. They’re genuinely fascinating little creatures, and learning about them has become something I’m really passionate about. I spend my free time exploring their behaviour, personalities, and unique abilities, and I’m excited to keep growing my knowledge as I go.
I work full-time in the British Army, but this interest has quickly become one of my favourite things to dive into outside of work. The more I learn, the more I want to share just how incredible these tiny spiders really are. They’re curious, clever, and full of character, and there’s so much more to them than most people realise.
As my journey continues, I’ll keep building on what I know, getting hands-on experience where I can, and creating simple, engaging ways for others to enjoy and understand these fantastic creatures, too.
Thanks for taking an interest. I’m looking forward to seeing where this little adventure leads.

I am a highly skilled professional with over 13 years of service in the British Army, currently operating as an armourer. I specialise in the maintenance, repair, and operational assurance of weapons and precision mechanical systems. My remit spans fault diagnostics, safety compliance, inspection activity, and the delivery of technical training to ensure equipment and personnel remain fully mission-ready.
Alongside my technical portfolio, I bring a strong grounding in social care, wellbeing, and ethical practice, underpinned by UN training in gender equality, safeguarding, and conduct standards, all of which I have applied in operational environments. My career has been defined by a commitment to excellence, continuous improvement, and proactive problem-solving.
I’m also taking my interest in jumping spiders to the next level. What started as simple curiosity has grown into a hands-on hobby where I’m learning more about their behaviour, care needs, and the best ways to create healthy, engaging environments for them. It’s become a fun and rewarding side project, giving me space to learn, experiment, and share what I discover with others who enjoy these fascinating little creatures.
